The Even Feed Foot or Walking Foot, is used for sewing several layers of fabric, and is great for quilting, matching plaids or stripes and sewing fabrics with nap or pile, to keep them from shifting.
This foot has its own set of feed dogs that work together with the sewing machine’s feeding system, for perfect fabric feeding!
Moving feed systems holds and moves fabric from the top for increased control.
FITS MOST SEWING MACHINES: This foot has a regular snap-on bar and fits all home & domestic sewing that have a low-shank system (Pfaff is an exception)

I had a walking foot with my Janome machine but it was faulty so I could not use it. I only use this machine for courses as it is lighter than my other machines so I was loath to pay nearly £50 for a new one so when I saw that yours was a lot cheaper I thought that I would try it. Putting it onto my machine was tricky as I kept dropping the screw holding it on but once on which I did by holding the screw with a pair of long nosed tweezers (from my overlocker) it worked perfectly. I am glad that I took a chance on it.

I have just started to use the walking foot from Love 2 Sew. I have never used one before. It was a bit fiddly to fit to my machine but a lot of the different feet are fiddly to attach. Once it was on, it stayed on and I found it straight forward to use. I have done my first bit of quilting with it and I am happy with the result. The foot was considerably cheaper than one I looked at in John Lewis, so I am very happy with the price too.

It worked well, did what it said it should, but also managed to unscrew the needle in my machine! Maybe the needle wasn’t in tight enough and the vibration on the screw shaft caused it to loosen. Anyway, no needles were harmed and I’ll make sure everything is tightened up before I use the foot again.

Although I already had a walking foot with my machine I purchased this one because of the guide bar. My very old sewing machine had a quilting guide which slotted into the main foot fixer, but wouldn’t attach to the new machine.
